The arrival of Bill

Today Bill joined us for our voyage of adventure which starts tomorrow.

After unpacking we took a stroll into town and our favourite restaurant “ La Schironada “. And what a fantastic time we had. Great food, Cuttle fish followed by Spaghetti Vongole. All served by some very pleasant Polish girls, Paulina and Maja.

After a siesta, we walked the 3.5 kilometres to Massimo and Marta’s flat for a truly fantastic meal of black rice salad starter, followed by the most amazing Sea Bream EVER. A great end to a wonderful first week in Cagliari.

Hit the Road Jack

Well, I have forgotten that my web address is richardsadventures.co.uk and so not just for sailing. Today I and travelling to Paris to visit Christelle, a very good and long standing friend. It seems ages since I’ve been to St Pancras and to Paris and so in a few hours I’ll be taking the EuroStar to Gard du Nord. Can’t wait for the good company, fine wines and delicious foods.

Arrivederci Capo d’Orlando

Our last day was spent cycling along the seafront. The town centre is about 3 kms from the marina and the cycle ride is pleasant and predominately along a cycle path.

Wonderfully long beach with some rocks and spectacular crashing seas. Many resturants and bars along the route.

The cycle are avaiable for hire from the marina office at no charge, just a 50 Euro refundable deposit.
